Short profile
With >25 years of consulting experience, I bring a profound understanding of organizations, leadership roles and career pathways across a multitude of institutions and industries. I am a respected counterpart for Executives as well as for high potentials. I am passionate about leadership development and personal growth. With my coachees I explore how they want to grow, and how they may hold themselves back with behavioral patterns that no longer serve them well. In a trustful relationship, change and growth can come about.
My background
I studied Medicine at the University of Bonn where I also completed my dissertation (Dr. med.). I studied abroad at University College Dublin and in a teaching hospital of the University of Lausanne. I practiced medicine at the University hospitals of Bonn (Internal medicine/Oncology) and Dusseldorf (Gynaecology/Oncology).
Curiosity to broaden my horizon led me to change career track. I joined McKinsey in Munich as a consultant in their healthcare practice. After 5 exciting years I came across Egon Zehnder, a globally leading Executive Search and Leadership Advisory firm. Egon Zehnder was my professional home for 21 years. I was privileged to serve clients across the whole range of leadership advisory services, working with Senior Executives and their organizations on their most critical leadership issues, as part of a highly collaborative team. Over the years, my passion grew to work with my clients on their own professional and personal growth. Following my heart, I meanwhile focus on this work. Now I have my own coaching practice.
I have completed two and a half years of coach training as well as other advanced training courses at Hephaistos coaching center, Munich. My work is based on the Hephaistos “Metatheorie der Veränderung”, an integrative approach to change in individuals and groups. In addition, over the last 10 years I have also had the opportunity to learn from leading international practitioners in the field of coaching and leadership development in a variety of courses – e.g., Bob Kegan, Amy Fox, Carol Kauffman, Jennifer Garvey Berger, Paul Zonneveld and Mieke Jacobs, Lynda Cesara.
